iPad 2 Features: See What's New About Apple's Latest Product Photos...

At long last, the wait is over.

At an event in San Francisco, Steve Jobs took the stage--to a standing ovation--and unveiled the iPad 2.

After stating that 2011 will be "the year of iPad 2," Jobs dished about the device's price, specs and special features.

Find out everything you need to know about the iPad 2 in our Photos (below). Do you think iPad 2 is more "evolutionary" than it is "revolutionary"? Vote for the device's most surprising features.

The iPad 2 features a tapered design and a slimmer build. Though the screen size remains the same (9.7 inches diagonally), the new iPad is 8.8mm at its thinnest point and 13.4mm at its thickest--33 percent slimmer than it predecessor.

It also weighs 1.3 pounds, compared to the first iPad's 1.5-pound weight. As for the physical switch found on the side of the device, it can be used either to lock the device's orientation or to mute the speaker volume.
